Gibraltar Tower.

See it from over the wall in Heathfield Park from Tower Road the B2206. It is often the fate of Follies that they are restored and then neglected until they must be restored again. Built by Francis Newbury in 1792 to commemorate Baron Heathfield who successfully defended the Rock against France and Spain 1779-1783. The 55 foot Tower contained images of the Baron's exploits and features in a Turner painting to be seen in the Tate. Such a wonderful and historic Tower should not be hidden from the public. It needs doing up and a vista cut through the trees so it can be seen more easily.
