The Miller's Tomb.

Built by John Oliver, the eccentric Miller of Highdown. He built his own coffin 27 years before his death on 22/4/1793 and kept it under his bed. The tomb is now on top of Highdown Hill in splendid isolation. Not really a Folly but follyish and  apparently was once enclosed by some sort of a building. On the A259 going east towards Worthing take the small turning on the right to Highdown gardens just before the roundabout where Northbrook college is. From the car park walk 200 metres up the hill.
